Welcome to my portfolio/blog/place of therapeutic release — my name is Greg Asciutto. Formally trained in print and digital journalism, I, like all other millennials with writing degrees, teach high school English.
After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2014, I moved home — North Carolina. I currently teach at Garinger High School in East Charlotte, though I still enjoy writing things other than lesson plans and disciplinary referrals.
Outside of the classroom, I work in the field of poverty alleviation, specifically as it intersects with public mental health and homelessness. As an NC native, my vision is to build regional partnerships that foster economic opportunities for local youth and their families.
